Who We Are
rld Community Chaplains is a group of experienced, educated and professional spiritual care leaders with various specialties. Available on-call or on contract, they work as relief chaplains in hospitals and provide services for seniors and rehab centers. These special men and women also walk the halls of high schools, visit shelters, hospitals and facilities for the poor. They create stability on small and large disaster scenes and partner with police and fire to assist victims with comfort and resources. Community Chaplains care for military servicemembers and their families at home.
Community Chaplains are with people in their time of crisis, grief or confusion. They are able to quickly assess a situation and provide a plan of action. Various needs are addressed through pastoral care, crisis management, general counsel, referrals and resources, debriefing and religious services.
rld Community Chaplains establish a "Comfort Zone" and provide effective leadership and pastoral care for people who have experienced war or disaster. They assess urgent physical and mental health needs and address supply and resource requirements right away. Traumatic events change lives. It can be a well managed and effective change handled with compassion.
Community Chaplains are trained in PTSD, crisis intervention and grief, as well as disaster practices
within the structure of Homeland Security, Red Cross, local, state, federal and international law.
Services and activities are for all people and if a service member or disaster victim would like to work with leadership from a specific religion, one will be provided for them. WCC's are backed-up by
psychologists, psychiatrists and military men and women.
